The Andrew L. Hicks, Jr. Foundation sponsored an afternoon of Roller Skating for the Warrior Guides and their Braves on Saturday, March 3rd at Marple Sports Center in Broomall, PA.  The Henderson students arrived just before the Chester buses pulled in, so the Braves received a very warm welcome from their Guides.  The pairs got their roller skates on and began skating around and talking with each other right away.  Really great friendships are solidifying as the year continues and the kids meet each month.

When the exercise got their appetites going, the kids grabbed some pizza and soda and then there were candy treat bags for a sweet dessert.  Some of the Braves didn’t know how to skate but it didn’t take long before they were comfortable on their own.  A few Warrior Guides were a bit out of their comfort zones on skates, but their Braves were very encouraging!
