On Sunday, May 22, 2011, Peter’s Salon and European Spa in West Chester, PA sponsored a Cut-A-Thon for the Andrew L. Hicks, Jr. Foundation.  This fantastic event was able to raise $2,110 for Camp Paradise!  The Salon opened its doors on a Sunday, when they are normally closed and from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. all hair cuts were discounted to $20 and the entire proceeds were donated to the Foundation.  Peter’s Salon had more than 12 stylists working the entire time.  In addition members of the family worked sweeping floors, pouring coffee for customers, holding signs outside on Route 3, and greeting clients.  Additional salon and spa offerings were available as well and those services were designated for the Foundation too!

There was a constant stream of customers and the employees of Peter’s kept them moving on through the chairs!  All customers received a shampoo and cut and were treated to discounts on future haircuts!  The day was a huge success and the Foundation is so grateful to all of the patrons that day as well as to Peter’s Salon and European Spa for sacrificing your Sunday for us, and for using your talents to help us with our efforts to make Camp Paradise a reality!
