6th Annual Andrew L. Hicks, Jr. Memorial Golf Outing
After being rescheduled due to inclement weather back in May, the 6th Annual Golf Outing was held on Tuesday, September 12th with beautiful sunny skies! Applecross Country Club hosted over 100 golfers who came out to raise money for Camp Lionheart and RISE Camp. This year we raised more money than ever before and we are incredibly grateful for everyone who came out to make it such a fun day. We are especially thankful to both John and Debbie Goebel for putting on this wonderful event year after year. Additionally, we’d like to thank our premier sponsors, Arthur Hall Insurance, Bob DiGiacomo, UBS Financial Services, Goebel Cabinetry, and iT Edge. Without everyones incredible donations our wonderful summer camp for the children of Chester would not have been possible. After a fabulous round of golf the day ended with a wonderful meal and a silent auction with a great arrangement of gifts and prizes. Ashanti Martinez-Gamble was the guest speaker during dinner. She is a RISE student who has been with the Andrew L. Hicks, Jr. Foundation for the past 7 years, participating in Open Events, Warrior Guides and now RISE. Ashanti shared what the Foundation means to her, and some unique opportunities that have come her way as a result of her affiliation with the Foundation. It was a marvelous day supporting an even better cause!
