On Saturday, May 15th, the Andrew L. Hicks, Jr. Foundation hosted an Open Bowl event for the 11th consecutive year. So many kids had so much fun together!
Despite individual’s personal uncertainties regarding the pandemic and global affairs, the turn-out was great. 3 buses loaded at CCSA on Highland Avenue in Chester with almost 60 children on them.
Some friends reconnected in person and some children made new friends. The children from Chester were greeted by 28 volunteers at The Palace Bowling and Entertainment Center in Downingtown. Some of the volunteers were friends of the Foundation, eager to get back to normalcy and some were family of guests eager to get a glimpse of the Foundation and be a support in any way possible.
Be it a child or volunteer, everyone enjoyed themselves. You could feel the energy as the group bowled, laughed and enjoyed pizza and beverages.
